On the session held on December 28, 2025, upon the request
of the transmission system operator, the joint-stock company “Elektromreža
Srbije” Belgrade, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia
has adopted a decision granting an exemption and application of another form of
procuring balancing capacity based on market principles.
This approach enables the functioning of a market mechanism
in the procurement of balancing capacity under conditions of limited
competition, with the application of a maximum price as a protective mechanism
in cases of an insufficient number of bidders.
