Natural gas market in Serbia

In the natural gas sector, there is bilateral market functioning.

Natural gas market participants include:

• producers;
• suppliers;
• public suppliers;
• final customers;
• transmission system operators;
• distribution system operators and
• storage operator.

The method of organising and administering natural gas market by the transmission system operator, as well as the framework by which the rights and obligations of market participants are regulated are prescribed by the Transmission Network Code. The Energy Law does not envisage the adoption of a separate regulation which regulates natural gas market, as it is the case in the electricity sector (Market Rules)
