BELGRADE, Friday, November 01, 2019. - New Power Prices Approved

Upon the request of energy entities JP EPS Beograd, EMS a.d. Beograd and the Distribution System Operator “EPS Distribucija” d.o.o. Beograd, on the session held on 31/10/2019, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has approved decisions on electricity transmission tariffs, electricity distribution tariffs and guaranteed supply prices.


BELGRADE, Thursday, October 17, 2019. - Approval of EMS AD Transmission System Development Plan for 2019 - 2028 and of Investment Plan for 2019 - 2021.

The Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on the approval of the Transmission System Development Plan for 2019 - 2028 and of Investment Plan for 2019 – 2021 which were adopted by the Joint Stock Company “Elektromreža Srbije” (EMS AD) as the Transmission System Operator.


LJUBLJANA, Monday, September 30, 2019. - Christian Zinglersen – New ACER Director

On September 27, the Administrative Board of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) has appointed Mr. Christian Zinglersen as a new Director instead of Mr. Alberto Pototschnig. The succession will enter into force on January 1 next year, ACER reported. Mr. Zinglersen is currently holding the position of the Head of the global Clean Energy Ministerial Secretariat hosted at the International Energy Agency in Paris (IEA). He previously served as the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Danish Ministry of Energy.


BELGRADE, Thursday, September 12, 2019. - Gastrans: Public Hearing on Operation Rules of Future Gas Pipeline

On 10/09/2019, Gastrans d.o.o. has published a Notification and invitation to public hearing on the Operation Rules draft on their website. These Rules serve for Gastrans d.o.o. to propose the content of the operation rules of the future natural gas transmission system which is under construction so as the Rules could be adopted following the public hearing and the approval of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia.


BELGRADE, Thursday, August 22, 2019. - AERS Council: Approval of Plan for Transfer of Metering Devices within Distribution System to Distribution System Operator “EPS Distribucija” d.o.o.

AERSOn the session held on 22/08/2019, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on approval of Plan for Transfer of Metering Devices, Metering Switchboards, i.e. Connection Lines, Installation and Equipment in Metering Switchboards and Other Devices in Customers’, i.e. Producers’ Facilities connected to Distribution System for 2019-2020 which was adopted by the Distribution System Operator EPS Distribucija d.o.o.


BELGRADE, Thursday, August 15, 2019. - Approval of EMS a.d. Rules on Publication of Key Market Data

On the session held on August 15, 2019, the Council of the Energy Agency has approved the Rules on Publication of Key Market Data which were adopted by the Assembly of the Joint Stock Company “Elektromreža Srbije” Belgrade. Upon the publication of the Agency Decision in the “Official Gazette of Republic of Serbia”, the Rules are published on the website of the transmission system operator and they enter into force on the eighth day upon publication.


BELGRADE, Thursday, August 15, 2019. - Certificate issued to GASTRANS d.o.o. as to Independent Natural Gas Transmission Operator

On the session on August 15, 2019, in line with the Energy Law, AERS Decision on Exemption of New Natural Gas Interconnector and AERS regulations, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a Decision on Issuance of Certificate to Limited Liability Company GASTRANS d.o.o. as to Independent Natural Gas Transmission Operator with an obligation to submit occupancy permits or register ownership rights on natural gas transmission system facilities as well as to submit evidence on independent operation and transmission system operation of the constructed system in line with the AERS Decision on exemption within a 6-month timeframe since the beginning of operational work.


BELGRADE, Tuesday, July 16, 2019. - Revoked Transmission System Operator Certificate of Yugorosgaz-Transport

On the session of July 15, 2019, in line with the Energy Law (Law) and AERS regulations, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) has adopted a Decision on revocation of the certificate issued to the Yugorosgaz-Transport d.o.o. Niš by the Agency Decision of June 20, 2017.


BELGRADE, Wednesday, May 08, 2019. - AERS Hosting Meeting on Gas in South and Southeastern Europe

Being the Co-Chairman of the Gas Regional Initiative (GRI) of the European Agency for Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) for the South and Southeastern Europe (SEE) region, the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has been a host of the meeting on May 6-7 in Belgrade. During the meeting, the representatives of regulators, natural gas transporters, producers and traders from this region from the EU and from the Energy Community discussed several issues of common interest.


Belgrade, Friday, March 22, 2019. - The Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia adopted Decision on dismissal of certification application of the Limited Liability Company “Transportgas Srbija”

On the 44th session of March 22, 2019, in line with the Energy Law  and with the Rulebook on Energy Licence and Certification, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a Decision on dismissal of application of November 22, 2018 of the Limited Liability Company “Transportgas Srbija” d.o.o. Novi Sad for the certification in line with the independent transmission operator model pursuant to Articles 232-238 of the Energy Law as incomplete.


BELGRADE, Friday, March 08, 2019. - Approval of GASTRANS Acts regarding Exemption of New Interconnector

On the session held on March 8, 2019, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has approved the acts of the company GASTRANS d.o.o. which was instructed to adopt them in the Decision on Approval of the Exemption of New Interconnector (dated March 5, 2019). The adoption of these documents is a requirement to be met prior the realization of the binding phase of long-term capacity allocation on this interconnector. 


BELGRADE, Tuesday, March 05, 2019. - Exemption for New Natural Gas Interconnector Approved to GASTRANS

On the extraordinary session held on March 5, 2019, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) has adopted the final Act on Exemption of the New Natural Gas Interconnector by which the exemption is approved to the GASTRANS d.o.o. Novi Sad company from the third party access to the future gas pipeline which will pass through the Republic of Serbia and will be connected to the Bulgarian and Hungarian national transmission systems. 


BEOGRAD, Wednesday, February 13, 2019. - Public Consultation: Republic of Serbia Transmission System Development Plan for 2019-2028

On 13/02/2019, the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has announced public consultation on the Development Plan of the Transmission System of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2019-2028 which was submitted to the Agency by the transmission system operator EMS a.d. Public consultation on this draft of the ten-year transmission system development plan is organized until 15/03/2019.

BELGRADE, Friday, January 25, 2019. - Approval of Decision on Prices of Non-Standard Services of “EPS Distribucija”

On the session held on January 25, 2019, the Council of the Energy Agency has approved the decision on prices of non-standard services which was adopted by the distribution system operator “EPS Distribucija” d.o.o. Beograd. The approved price list includes non-standard, periodical services which are offered by the system operator upon a customer’s i.e. a system user’s request or services aimed at removal of consequences of a customer’s i.e. system user’s actions which are against regulations and which are not covered in the distribution fee or in connection costs.


BELGRADE, Monday, October 01, 2018. - Exemption of New Natural Gas Interconnector Approved to GASTRANS

On October 1, 2018, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) has adopted a Decision on the Exemption of the New Natural Gas Interconnector thereby approving an exemption to GASTRANS d.o.o. Novi Sad from the rules on third party access on a future gas pipeline which will constructed through the Republic of Serbia and which will be connected to the Bulgarian and Hungarian national transmission systems. 


THESSALONIKI, Saturday, September 29, 2018. - Permanent Advisory Forum of the National Regulatory Authorities of the Balkan Countries Established

On September 29, national energy regulators of Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, FYR of Macedonia and Montenegro have concluded an Agreement on the Establishment of Permanent Advisory Forum of National Regulatory Authorities of the Balkan Countries (Advisory Forum). The founding members of the Advisory Forum and Parties of this Agreement are the following national regulatory authorities: Energy and Water Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Bulgaria (EWRC), Regulatory Authority for Energy of the Republic of Greece (RAE), Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS), Energy Regulatory Commission of the FYR of Macedonia (ERC) and the Energy Regulatory Agency of Montenegro (REGAGEN).


BELGRADE, Monday, September 24, 2018. - Approval of YUGOROSGAZ-TRANSPORT Transmission System Development Plan

On the session held on September 24, 2018, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on the approval of YUGOROSGAZ-TRANSPORT d.o.o. Transmission System Development Plan for the period 2018-2027. The Transmission System Operator YUGOROSGAZ-TRANSPORT d.o.o. submitted the draft of the YUGOROSGAZ-TRANSPORT d.o.o. Transmission System Development Plan for the period 2018-2027 to the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia in mid-May 2018.

BELGRADE, Monday, September 03, 2018. - Decision on Rules for Capacity Allocation and Mechanisms for Transmission Capacity Operation of GASTRANS Company

On the session held on September 3, 2018, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a Decision on Rules for Capacity Allocation and Mechanisms for Transmission Capacity Operation of GASTRANS d.o.o. Novi Sad Company. This Decision has been adopted within a procedure which is carried out by the Agency in line with the Energy Law upon an application of GASTRANS for the exemption of the future gas interconnector from the third party access rules and from ownership unbundling requirements. 


BELGRADE, Tuesday, June 26, 2018. - Public Consultation: YUGOROSGAZ – TRANSPORT D.O.O. Transmission System Development Plan for 2018-2027

On 25/06/2018, the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has published public consultation on the YUGOROSGAZ – TRANSPORT D.O.O. Transmission System Development Plan for the period 2018-2027 which was submitted by the natural gas transmission system operator YUGOROSGAZ – TRANSPORT D.O.O. Public consultation on this ten-year transmission system development plan is organized until 20/07/2018.


SOFIA, Tuesday, June 12, 2018. - Cooperation Agreement between Serbian and Bulgarian Regulator

The Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS) and the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Bulgaria (EWRC) has concluded an agreement on cooperation on bilateral and multilateral level in order to improve the quality of institutional and regulatory process in the energy field. The Agreement on Cooperation was signed in Sofia on June 12, by the President of the AERS Council, Dejan Popović and the Chairman of EWRC, Ivan Ivanov.


BELGRADE, Friday, May 25, 2018. - AERS adopted 2017 Annual Report

On the session held on May 25, 2018, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted 2017 Annual Report and submitted it to the National Assembly. The Annual Report includes the report on the Serbian energy sector state-of-play within the Agency jurisdiction and the report on activities and financial report of the Agency.

the Fifth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held on May 18, 2018, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on the approval of the 2018 Financial Plan of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia (AERS).


BELGRADE, Friday, May 04, 2018. - Ten Non-Binding Bids for Use of Future Gas Pipeline

GASTRANS, LLC, Novi Sad has informed the Energy Agency (AERS) that ten non-binding bids have been submitted during the first phase of market test for the use of future gas pipeline, which is planned to connect the Bulgarian and Hungarian transmission system via the territory of Serbia. One may assess that the level of expressed interest is at a satisfactory level. In line with the Energy Agency decision, GASTRANS will make an analysis of submitted bids by the end of June and inform the AERS on the results.

On the session held on March 22, 2018, the members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia have elected Dejan Popović a President of the Energy Agency (AERS) Council as a replacement of Ljubo Maćić whose term has expired. Prof Aca Marković, Dejana Stefanović-Kostić, Negica Rajakov and Goran Petković have been elected members of the AERS Council.

On February 2, 2018, GASTRANS LLC, Novi Sad has submitted an application for the exemption from the third party access rules on the entire natural gas infrastructure facility – new gas pipeline which will go through the Republic of Serbia and connect Bulgarian and Hungarian national transmission system.

 


VIENNA, Tuesday, January 23, 2018. - Energy Community adopts first set of Third Energy Package Network Codes and Guidelines

The Energy Community Permanent High Level Group has adopted decisions on the adoption Network Codes and Guidelines for electricity and natural gas sectors. Network Codes and Guidelines are regulations adopted based on the Third Energy Package aimed at setting common rules on secure system operation, market integration and market functioning.


BELGRADE, Wednesday, January 17, 2018. - Assessment of Infringement of Competition Rules in the Natural Gas Market in the Republic of Serbia

On January 17, 2018, the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has addressed the Commission for the Protection of Competition of the Republic of Serbia (KZK) with reference to the letters sent to the Agency by natural gas suppliers indicating that the Transmission System Operator PE Srbijagas did not provide them with the access to the Horgoš entry point on the border with Hungary.
